Virus Mania: A Life-Changing Read

I’ve just read “Virus Mania”, a ground-breaking book by investigative journalist Torsten Engelbrecht, Dr. Claus Köhnlein, MD, Dr. Samantha Bailey, MD, and Dr. Stefano Scoglio, BSc PhD.

I can safely say Virus Mania is a life-changing read (or listen) and has given me a profound sense of optimism, possibility and ownership regarding my health and well-being and that of my family (both animal and human). Whoop-whoop!

I’m pretty sure it could do the same for you.  If you’re looking to fuel your motivation to eat healthy, sleep healthy and ramp up your energy levels, I highly recommend it!

Virus Mania A Life-Changing Read

“Virus Mania” has knocked my socks off. Backed with more than 1,400 solid scientific references, it presents information from highly renowned scientists, among them the Nobel laureates Kary Mullis, Barbara McClintock, Walter Gilbert and Sir Frank Macfarlane Burnet as well as microbiologist and Pulitzer Prize winner René Dubos.

You can buy this book on Amazon here – it’s pricey and worth every cent. If you can’t wait and you want to get immediate access you can buy it for 1 credit on Audible.

What Is Virus Mania About?

Virus Mania: A Life-Changing Read

Quite simply it proposes that viruses exist only in our imagination and have become one of the greatest fears of humanity as a result of a giant marketing campaign to enrich the financial partnership between governments, governing bodies or regulators and pharmaceutical companies.

Are we purposefully on the receiving end of a ton of fearmongering just to make pharmaceutical companies, and those heavily funded by, them incredibly wealthy?  Do they get paid to create illness and then paid to cure it, or not as the case often is?

That’s right, the authors suggest that viruses don’t exist. They give evidence to support the idea that no ‘virus’ has ever been properly isolated, separated, purified, proven to attack a cell, or replicate inside a host in controlled environment.

The authors then go on to discuss the potential REAL causes of illnesses such as avian flu, AIDS, Spanish flu and the most recent protagonist in the ever-expanding virus story, and it’s eye opening!

Not For The Faint-Hearted!

Among the contributors to illness and disease, they cite pharmaceuticals, lifestyle drugs, pesticides, heavy metals, pollution, malnutrition and stress. They also give you the evidence to back up their bold statements. The section of the impact of the ramped up vaccination programmes after 1986 encourages me to never again insert anything pharmaceutical into my body unless it’s an absolute emergency – perhaps an antibiotic or two, or anaesthesia for an operation.

I appreciate that for some, minimising the use of pharmaceuticals may be challenging. Even with doctors in my family, I’ve always erred on the side of an Oriental approach to health and wellbeing. Specifically, food for prevention, herbs and spices for maintenance and pharmaceuticals for emergency use only.

This journey is not for the faint of heart. If you’re a fan of junk food, if you dabble in lifestyle drugs, or enjoy eating sugar or meat, you may find your stomach turning. Sometimes we all need a good shock to release unhelpful habits, right?

Envisioning A Beautiful And Healthy Future

To be fair, I do tend to fall on the side of the optimist since, in reality, we can’t change the past. It is what it is and we are where we are. I encourage you to adopt a similar mindset if you choose to read “Virus Mania”. I you can step into this perspective, you’re going to be able to share my positive vision of our potential future, where we can simply change our behaviour and take our health back. We can start RIGHT NOW.

Here are a few of the ideas cultivating in my mind. Clearly, I’m not a medical doctor and I’m sure I have only a fraction insight into this situation, however, I can’t help but wonder about the following questions.

1) If viruses don’t exist, the only infections we have to concern ourselves with are either fungal or bacterial, and we know how to deal both of those both with pharmaceuticals and natural medicines, don’t we?

2) Since the authors of this book provide seemingly sound evidence to back up their statements, if a virus has never been isolated there is no way to test for one. So, doesn’t that mean that we are effectively free from a) any further fear of potential viruses in the future and b) any testing protocols for viruses?

3)  If eating processed foods has such a negative impact on health, the obvious solution is to eat healthy organic foods, grown locally or in our own gardens.

4) The information suggests a causal relationship between sugar and addiction to other substances. We can easily eliminate sugar from our diet if we choose.  Additional benefits of eliminating sugar are reduced acidity levels in the body and a better chance of maintaining high energy through blood sugar management.

5) As for the relationship between the MMR vaccine and autism mentioned in the book, and the link between the use of pharmaceutical drugs and a plethora of other diseases, and general depletion of overall health and natural immunity, anyone can choose to make their own decision about that.

6) If auto-immune reactions are a response to pharmaceutical medicines, delivered either directly to our bodies or indirectly through food, then surely if we stop now, the next generation can benefit from a life free from these health challenges, can’t they?

What Information Have We Lost?

In my previous article, The Power of Placebo, I mentioned the Flexner report.  In 1910 this document, funded by the Rockefeller & Carnegie Foundations, changed the face of medical education.  Flexner suggested “nonscientific” approaches in the medical marketplace (such as naturopaths, homeopaths, chiropractors, osteopaths, and “folk psychologists”) were unhelpful. His findings resulted in the closure of many schools teaching alternative medicine, deemed unfit for service.  I now wonder if this was a matter or profit over healing.  What we might want to ask is what knowledge did we lose as a result of these medical school closures?  It might be reasonable to suggest that we lost the bridge between ancient healing knowledge (fortunately still present in the oriental systems) and modern cures.

Did we lose our awareness of the flow of qi or chi around the body? In doing so, did we direct our focus more towards the importance of key organs in the body rather than the life force delivering nutrition and removing toxins? Did we deprioritise our focus on maintaining healthy blood?

Rudolph Steiner - The Heart Is Not A Pump

In 1920 Rudolf Steiner, an Austrian scientist, philosopher, and artist with a keen interest in medicine, pointed out to doctors that “the heart is not a pump.”  This article explains his thinking, saying “the heart was not a pump forcing inert blood to move with pressure but that the blood was propelled with its own biological momentum, as can be seen in the embryo, and boosts itself with “induced” momenta from the heart. He also stated that the pressure does not cause the blood to circulate but is caused by interrupting the circulation.”

In short, he suggested it is the blood that drives the heart and not the other way around. From biology class, I remember that blood has four functions or purposes. These are, 1) transporting oxygen and nutrients to the lungs and tissues, 2) carrying cells and antibodies that fight infection, 3) bringing waste products to the kidneys and liver, which filter and clean the blood, and 4) regulating body temperature.

Could We Benefit By Focusing On Plasma Health?

Plasma is the largest part of your blood. It makes up more than half (about 55%) of its overall content. When separated from the rest of the blood, plasma is a light yellow liquid. Plasma carries water, electrolytes, and enzymes.

The main role of plasma is to take nutrients, hormones, and proteins to the parts of the body that need them. Cells also put their waste products into the plasma. The plasma then helps remove this waste from the body. Blood plasma also carries all parts of the blood through your circulatory system.

Electrolytes like sodium, potassium, bicarbonate, chloride, and calcium help maintain blood pH. They are finely balanced.  This website states, “For example, potassium is normally present in plasma at a concentration of only 4 milliequivalents per litre. A slight rise in plasma potassium (to 6–7 milliequivalents per litre) can result in death.” Mmm … perhaps just one banana today then!

Joking aside, I’m going to be focusing on keeping my blood as healthy as possible and in motion for as long as possible.

Time For A Dash Of Autonomy

Since we live in a very small village, when lockdown hit in 2020 it was challenging to get food delivered to our property and we weren’t allowed out of the house to buy it.  This little problem led to something wonderful.  We started growing as many vegetables as possible in our garden.  We now experience the joy of “going shopping in the garden” just before we cook dinner.  We’ve noticed positive changes in our energy levels and our health as a result.  We will continue on this path!

It strikes me that this is the first way we can ensure the inclusion of ‘live’ and nutritional food in our daily diet.  Grow your own or make friends with someone who does.

If you choose to read this book I hope it releases any fear you may have accumulated over the last couple of years and gives you the confidence to take your health into your own hands.  It’s time to manage our minds and bodies to create long, healthy and happy lives!
